Park City, Utah

Taylor had a trip for work in Park City again on August 4 and 5th. Last October we went and I forgot my camera. So this time I was sure to get pictures of our beautiful hotel room.

This was my favorite part of the hotel; the fireplace. The kids loved jumping off of it onto the cushion. We didn't need it because it wasn't that cold.

Out the back door was a balcony. It overlooked the pool. We never sat out there but it would have been nice.

Projects around the house

Before! This was an area that was bugging me in my house. Nothing seemed to go together. So I came across this hall tree at Pier 1 and it was $400 so I decided to wait. I found this one at costco for so much cheaper.

After! I really like it.
I made this hooded towel for a neighbor down the street who is having a baby. It turned out pretty good considering it was my first time. Thanks to my friend who showed me how.

Chocolate Marshmellow Rice Krispie Dessert

I made these last night. They are really yummy. I think next time I will half the recipe and put it in a 9x9 pan. It is really rich and makes a lot.

Chocolate Marshmellow Rice Krispie Dessert

Bottom:
1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
6 tbsp cocoa
1 cup flour
2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt

Middle:
7 oz. marshmellow creme

Top:
1 pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup peanut butter
3 cups rice krispies

Mix the bottom ingredients and spread in a greased cake pan. Bake for 25 minutes at 350.

Let brownies cool slightly and then spread marshmellow cream over the top.

Heat chocolate chips and peanut butter together. (I just melt chips in microwave and then mix in pb while its hot. Mix with rice krispies. Pour over the top and chill.
Look at the gooey marshmellow creme ooozing out the middle. Yum!
Can you see the rice krispies? Preston said he loves the crunch. Me too!

tubing and boating

Preston and Paige loved riding in the boat and jet skis. Paige kept pointing to the boat. It was so cute.

Taylor came up with a plan while riding that they would all trade places while moving and stand up. What show offs! They are all little boys at heart.
The girls on the other hand held on for dear life cause we didn't want to tip over and get our hair wet. Some had blood blisters after for holding on so tight. We had fun though. We laughed so hard it hurt and my mouth was so dry.

Lake Garcia day!

We went up to our friends lake house today. It is halfway to vegas. We spent the day swimming, riding on the boat and tubing. We had so much fun. Callie taking a ride with her friend Conah.
Callie playing with the older boys. I am in for some real trouble. She asked if one of them could ride home with us. Uh oh!
Paige was having a snack.
Callie and Conah. They are so cute. They played so well at the lake.
What a stud!

Shamu

Shamu making big splashes. Some parts of the crowd got soaked.
The kids always want to sit on Taylor's lap.

Shamu waving. Very cute.

Shamu!

Paige loved the Shamu show! They have changed the music so it's not as good.

They just built this not too long ago. It was being built when we were at Sea World in March. We all loved it. It reminded me of Free Willy. Except we didn't bang on the glass.

Family Photos

Preston never cooperates for pictures.

A weekend to Sea World

We went to Sea World in March and got season passes and hadn't been back. We decided to make a weekend of it. We headed down Friday morning and came back Saturday night. We stayed in a hotel which the kids love. They got to swim in the heated pool.In the car on the way down. It looks like she is saying "peace". I thought it was funny with the sunglasses too.

There was a cool shark exhibit and you went under this escalator and the sharks swam over you. Very cool.
They always like taking pictures with characters.
Taylor took them on one little ride. It was a really long wait. But Paige had a nap. So that was nice.

July 4th and summer fun

Our neighbors invited us over to play on their slip n slide. They had so much fun they were bruised the next day.
Everyone lined up taking turns. Even Paige.

Our friends set up projector in their garage and let the kids play Wii and the adults played just dance. It was really fun.
All the kids eating their dinner in a tent. They really liked it.
