Wind Conference

Taylor attended a wind conference in Dallas this week. He left on Sunday afternoon and didn't get back until tonight. It seems like he has been traveling a lot lately, which stinks for me and the kids but it sounds like he had a really good time at the conference this week.

George W. Bush

W was the keynote speaker. Taylor got to sit on the second row and was pretty excited to get to see him up close. Taylor said he did a really nice job and had a great sense of humor, plugging his book, and did not criticize Obama. In fact Bush mentioned he has no interest in making news or criticizing his predecessor. Bush said he did not like it when Clinton criticized him so he promised himself he would not do that when he left office.

Taylor said he was pretty funny during his speech making fun of him self. He told me this story. Bush recalled "Laura purchased our house sight unseen in Texas, which I refer to as a faith based initiative. As soon as the media reported our purchase we were told that 650 people drove by the house the first day which did not make the neighbors very happy. My first day living in the house I decided to take Barney for a walk. Now you have to remember Barney only knows the White House south lawn, Camp David, and the ranch in Crawford. As for me this was my first time to walk a neighborhood in 10 years. Barney headed straight for Dr. Young's lawn and there I found myself the former President of the United States with a plastic bag on my hand picking up what I had been dodging for the past 8 years."

This was after his speech during the question an answer session. He was pretty funny plugging his book. He said "I am writing my book and I know that may surprise some of you who think I can't read much less write."

Cowboys Stadium

BNSF sponsored a customer appreciation event at the conference Taylor attended. The event was a tour of Cowboy Stadium followed by dinner in the locker room. He has such a tough job...I feel so sorry for him.

The picture to the right is in the cheerleaders locker room.

This is a picture from the press box. The screen behind him cost $40 million!

More party

They loved the jump house and cotton candy.
Preston kept asking Tay and I to go jump with him.

friends birthday party

We went to a friends Birthday party and they had a jump house and a cotton candy machine. We felt like kids again as you can tell from the pictures. I think I ate 3 whole cotton candy's myself. It is my favorite. And it didn't cost me $5 like at Disneyland.

Random

At school today. He loves school so much. He also has to ride this car everytime.
This week is the letters "D" and "N" in school. So her teacher had dress up doctor and nurse outfits. Very cute.
Her blue eyes.

I love this little blue tiered dress. I had to take some pictures after church.

her tinker bell night cown
Her Barbie Birthday crown
Strawberry cake

At church on Sunday we kind of matched. Then someone gave us some roses from their garden. I wanted to take a picture.
Callie turned 5 yesterday. She loves anything pink so I made her a pink strawberry cake. It has fresh strawberries in the cake and the icing. It makes it not so sweet. Callie had a great day. I took cupcakes to her school today. I think the kids enjoyed them. She got a birthday crown from my mom. It was inside her birthday card. It was so cute.

4 months old

She is starting to make cooing sounds, move her hands and feet a lot, and she is now laughing. She is so sweet and a wonderful baby.

Mother's Day Tea Party

At Callie's preschool this past week we had a Mother's Day Tea Party. It was so cute. We had herbal tea, cookies and little flower shaped peanut butter sandwiches. The kids loved it and they got to pour their own tea.
