Her blue eyes.

I love this little blue tiered dress. I had to take some pictures after church.

her tinker bell night cown
Her Barbie Birthday crown
Strawberry cake

At church on Sunday we kind of matched. Then someone gave us some roses from their garden. I wanted to take a picture.
Callie turned 5 yesterday. She loves anything pink so I made her a pink strawberry cake. It has fresh strawberries in the cake and the icing. It makes it not so sweet. Callie had a great day. I took cupcakes to her school today. I think the kids enjoyed them. She got a birthday crown from my mom. It was inside her birthday card. It was so cute.

4 months old

She is starting to make cooing sounds, move her hands and feet a lot, and she is now laughing. She is so sweet and a wonderful baby.

Mother's Day Tea Party

At Callie's preschool this past week we had a Mother's Day Tea Party. It was so cute. We had herbal tea, cookies and little flower shaped peanut butter sandwiches. The kids loved it and they got to pour their own tea.

Explosions!

I love Preston's face. I know he enjoyed it.

Last Sunday in singing time our chorister did this fun activity with the primary children. So we decided to do it at home.
3/4 cup water
1/3 cup vinegar
1 tablespoon baking soda
1 drop of 4 different colors of food coloring
4 plastic cups
1 large tray

In plastic cups mix water and vinegar ( the more vinegar the better the explosion) On spoon drop food coloring and baking soda. Let your kids pick up the spoon and stir in. will bubble like crazy.

So cute!

When I was taking her pictures she kept lifting up her shirt. It was funny.

Paige is getting bigger everyday. She is so sweet. I really am trying to enjoy the baby stage and not wish it away. She is more alert and is making those cute baby noises. The first picture of Paige is from a couple weeks ago and the blue outfit is from this weekend.

Six Flags!

Callie got daring this time at Six Flags. I even took her on the ship that goes really high but she did not like that one.
Paige is getting more alert. She is so sweet.

Preston asked to get off this ride. He didn't like it.

Six Flags!

Taylor had work off on Friday and so we decided to use some free Six Flags tickets that Taylor got from work. It was not as kid friendly as I thought so I am glad it was free.

Easter Pictures!

For Easter we just stayed home and watched conference. These are from the week before since we didn't actually go to church.

Our friends from San Francisco area came to visit on the day of Paige's Blessing. Jen is a photographer and offered to take some pictures of her in her blessing dress. It is the same one Callie wore. I think the pictures are so beautiful.

Paige's 1st limo ride

Last night my friend and I went to this Uptown Girls Spring Fling in Redlands. It is about 15 minutes away. We parked at my friends Salon and got complimentary back and neck massages and a hand massage. We then waited for the limo to take us to all the other stores that were involved. The stores were Kissui(kids store), Shop Suey boutique(shoes and accessories), Peek Inside(home decore) and you just shopped and then waited for the limo to pick up again. The best part was it was free. I tried to get a picture of the limo but it didn't turn out. So here are Paige and I inside the limo.
My friend Lindsey and I inside the limo. We had to take the pictures ourselves. We were the only ones in the limo because we were the last to be picked up. It was kind of nice, some of the women had a little too much to drink and all smoked. I am sure we smelled good when we got home last night.

CUW-California Utah Womens

Every 6 months this takes place at the Disneyland Hotel. You go and walk around this ballroom and there are booths set up of kids stuff, jewelry, scarpbooking, temple pictures, and all kinds of stuff. We shopped around for a while and then did lunch at the Olive Garden. It was a nice get away from the kids. Thanks Taylor for the day out.

Oreo cupcakes

I made these for Enrichment tonight. My friend showed me this recipe and it is from allrecipes

1 18.5 ounce package Devil's food cake mix
1 5.9 ounce package instant chocolate pudding mix
1 cup sour cream
1 cup veg. oil
4 eggs
1/2 cup warm water
2 cups semisweet mini choc. chips

Preheat oven to 350. In a large bowl, mix together cake, pudding, sour cream, oil, beaten eggs, and water. Stir in choc. chips and pour batter into lined cupcake pans. It makes 28. Bake for 18-21 minutes.

Brown sugar cream cheese frosting
1 1/2 cups butter
8 oz. cream cheese
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
pinch of salt
4-6 cups powdered sugar
2-4 tbs. milk

Cream butter and cream cheese. Add brown sugar, vanilla and salt. Add 2 c. of powdered sugar at a time. I used 6 and no milk. Fold in 8 oreos with filling removed. Frost cupcakes and garnish with a half of an oreo.

Chocolate and caramel covered pretzels.

We had these at Disneyland and they were to die for. So my mom came up with some just as good.
Caramels
1 3/4 cups light Karo syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 cup butter
2 cups heavy cream
2 cups sugar
Put sugar, syurp, butter and 1 cup cream in a heavy saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until sugar is dissolved. Cook slowly to soft ball stage, stirring constantly. Add 1/2 cup cream and cook again until soft ball stage. Add remaining cream and cook to firm ball stage. Add vanilla. Pour into a greased cookie sheet. Let cool.

Cut strips of caramel and twist around long pretzel sticks. Roll them in pecans or your favorite nut. Put them in the fridge or freezer for 30 minutes. Dip in chocolate almond bark. Don't use semi sweet choc. chips. It was too thick. The almond bark worked the best. I found it at Alberstons and it tasted the best. To garnish, drizzle white chocolate over the top.

Pizza Dough

Callie had a preschool field trip up at a restaurant where they learned to make pizza a month ago. It was so good and I decided to make it for dinner tonight. I halfed the recipe and made to small circles on a cookie sheet. That way I could make one for the kids and one for us. They turned out so good and usually when I make homemade pizza it doesn't taste good.

Pizza Dough
1 cup warm water
2 pkgs. active dry yeast or (2 heaping tbs. yeast)
1 tbs. sugar

sprink yeast and sugar over water. Gently combine and allow to rise until double. about 15 minutes.

1 cup water
2 tsp salt
2 tbs. oil
5 cups flour

Add additional water, salt, oil and flour to yeast mixture; beat well and allow to stand 10 minutes. Roll into pan and top with favorite toppings. Cook in a 425 oven for 15 minutes.

I cooked the dough for 5-8 minutes and then put the toppings on baked it another 10-15 minutes. Tonight I pulled some stuff out of the freezer and made a really yummy pizza. I had some Cafe Rio dressing and used that as the sauce and then added chicken, black beans, mozzarella cheese and then after it cooked added avocados. You gotta try it. Sorry no picture.
