Our house in Yucaipa, California!

Our house here in California is about the same size as it was in Texas, but this house is a two story. It makes all the rooms a lot smaller so none of our furniture fits. The one thing I do like about this house is the kitchen. It has granite counter tops and lots of counter space. It has the lighting under the cabinets so you can see while cooking. The things I don't like are the paint and the stairs. The paint is this ugly green color. The owners of the house are going to have someone come and paint it. I will never have a two story again. I run up and down the stairs about 20 times a day. If you forget the kids shoes or have to brush your teeth, up the stairs you go. We do like it our here in Yucaipa. We have adjusted well. Better than we thought we would. We have already made some great friends. For those of you who don't know where Yucaipa is it is 20 minutes from San Berarndino and 35 minutes from Ontario. The other direction is Palm Springs. It is about 30 minutes away.

We finally made it to California!

I just wanted to update everyone on our move out to California. We moved to Yucaipa. It is about 15 minutes east of San Bernardino. Yucaipa is a smaller town of about 50,000 people and located at the foot of Big Bear mountain. I do love the mountains. We have a great view from the upstairs bedrooms.

We have not had internet set up yet. When we do I will post some cute pictures of us at the beach and at the Hollywood sign. When we first got out here it took a while for the kids to adjust. They were getting up at 5:00 a.m. We like our new ward here. Everyone was so welcoming. Hope you all are doing well.

Preston's first Chuck E' Cheese experience.

He had a lot of fun. He kept wanting to get down and crawl around. He is definitely a boy; he loved driving the car.

Back view of the bow's.

How many bow's are in her hair?

Callie put every bow she owns in her hair. My mom called me into her room and I thought she looked adorable. Then Callie put the bows in Grandma's hair. I didn't take a picture of Grandma. I didn't want to get in trouble. She enjoys doing people's hair.

Twins dressed alike.

I went to Arkansas to visit Britney for a week before we moved to California. We went to church and ended up wearing similar dresses. Great minds think alike. I thought it was a fun picture. I am going to miss being close to Britney.

Callie's first hair cut!

Callie's hair was getting long and stringy and so I decided to cut it myself. It didn't go very well. I kept cutting it to get it even and it was getting shorter. I took her to a friend and she did a great job. I really like the cut on her.

My little hair dresser!

Isn't she so cute! I found her in her room doing her dolls hair. For Christmas last year she got a salon chair and all the accerories to do hair. She is always wanting to comb mine. She might be a hair dresser after all.

So Silly!

We were eating lunch at our regular time, and Preston decided to stick a carrot in his mouth. Callie is definitely a follower so she went along as well. I thought it was really funny and had to take a picture.

Swimming at Mimi and Papa's house!

Taylor's sisters both came over to his parents house to visit before we move. Callie always has fun with her cousins Tyler, McKayla and Rylee.

Our trip to D.C. My whole family!!

I think this is the only picture of all of us. I have a great family.

Washington Temple

We went to the visitor center and walked around the temple on Sunday. The temple is so enormous. It is beautiful too. You can see if from the freeway with trees on both sides. It is a grand site. A friend of Taylors was visiting the Washington D.C. temple many years ago and saw a sign on the overpass that said Surrender Dorthy. I thought it was pretty funny.

Famous Name!

We were leaving D.C. and saw this Hotel sign and just had to take a pictue.

Center of Washington, D. C.

Here are all the kids standing in the center of Washington. It is in the U.S. Capital.

My mom and sisters

My family decided to go to Washington, D. C. for our trip this year. There was a total of 21 of us. We had a good time. We went to see many sites all around Washington, Virgina, Maryland, and Pennyslvania. We also went to Mount Vernon where George Washington's house is. We didn't charge our batteries that day so no pictures. George Washington's backyard overlooks the Patomac river. It is such a beautiful site. It was so neat to think that he lived in the house. I really felt the spirit of what a great man he was and how he helped make what the United States of America is today.

Inside the domb of the Capital.

U. S. Capital, July 3rd

My mom set up a tour of the capital with her senator from Indiana. It was really neat. We traveled from the Hart building to the capital underground on this train car. The building has great architecture.

Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, July 4th

We drove to Gettyburg for the 4th of July. I think it was very fitting since Gettysburg was the turning point of the Civil War. I am definitely proud to be an American. It was really neat to think that we were in Gettysburg where a lot of the battles took place. Taylor and I are standing on the top of the Soldiers National Monument. It was so beautiful in Pennyslvania. Our drive took about an hour and a half and the whole way I just kept thinking everything was so green and lush. I would love to live there.

View of the back of the White House

Callie wanted to take a picture of us. I think she did a pretty good job. As you can see Preston is snoozing. He did not get much sleep on our trip.

Sunday, July 6th at the White House

We found a great parking spot right near the White House. It is impossible to find parking in Washington D. C. We were excited. It was neat to see it. I had never been to Washington, D. C. before. When we were walking past the back of the White House we saw a Blue Bell ice cream truck leave the gates. I guess President Bush has to have his Blue Bell ice cream. I do love Blue Bell too.
